Meet the course creator: Yuji Naka

Yuji Naka is a Japanese video game designer and programmer most famous for co-creating Sega's iconic Sonic the Hedgehog. As the lead programmer of the original Sonic games and later the head of Sonic Team, he was responsible for hit titles such as Nights into Dreams... and Phantasy Star Online. After leaving Sega in 2006 to establish his own studio, Prope, his career later took a turn when he joined Square Enix to direct the game Balan Wonderworld. In 2023, he left Square Enix due to be accused of insider-trading which he was found non-guilty and returned a month later to work other Western-made works like PalWorld.
